Biography

I Ver Sacrum si sono formati nell’inverno 2006, dall’idea di due ex membri degli Hinthruna, Filippo Piermattei e Luca Polato, con l’intento di continuare l’idea alla base di questo gruppo, quella di narrare la storia delle antiche civiltà della nostra terra italica. Dopo vari cambi di line-up, ad inizio 2009 hanno registrato, presso il professionale Virus Studio di Siena, “Tyrrenika”, concept album di 10 brani che narra la storia degli Etruschi così come ce l’ha tramandata Erodoto. Un popolo fuggito dalle coste dell’Asia Minore in seguito ad una carestia che, dopo un lungo viaggio per mare, è approdato lungo le nostre coste Tirreniche. Qui ha dato vita ad una civiltà dall’alto livello culturale, i cui principi e conoscenze sono andate a formare le fondamenta del popolo che lo ha inglobato e sconfitto: i Romani. Il tutto mentre una maledizione veniva lanciata sul futuro di Roma: “il nostro sangue nel vostro destino”. “Così come noi Etruschi, popolo dal grande livello intellettuale siamo stati sconfitti da voi Romani, popolo barbaro; un domani voi Romani, dopo aver raggiunto il massimo splendore in tutte le arti, verrete sconfitti da un popolo barbaro”. Maledizione che si è puntualmente avverata. A Settembre 2009 hanno firmato con Rock Over Records, divisione dell’etichetta Horus Music di Gianluca Galli, distribuita da Audioglobe. La data di uscita dell’album è fissata per il 16 Novembre e la promozione sarà affidata all’agenzia Nadir Rock di Trevor dei Sadist.

Ver sacrum were formed during winter 2006 by Filippo Piermattei and Luca Polato (both of them being former members of Hinthruna). The concept behind the band was to tell the story of Italian ancient civilazations, and put it in music. After several line-up changes the band recorded the debut cd "Tyrrenica" at Virus studios in Siena(Italy). The album is ten songs concept on the history of Etruschi narrated in the way Erodoto handed to us: A people escaped from the coasts of the Asia Minor because of a scarcity, and after a long travel through sea, llanded along our Tirreniche coasts. Here they gave life to an high culutral level civilization whose principles and knowledge formed the basis of the civilization that eventually defeated them, the Romans.
A curse was cast on Rome then : "Our blood will be your doom". "We the etruschi, a people at the top of our cultural development, have been defeated by You Romans, a barbarian people, but a day will come when You will suffer from the same fate" The curse realized and Rome was plundered. In september 2009 Ver sacrum signed with "Rock over records" a division of "Horus Music"of Gianluca Galli distributed by Audioglobe. The album is scheduled for 16 november and the promotion will be managed by Nadir Rock agency headed by Trevor(Sadist).
